Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum was designed by, Rockport artist and sculptor, George Honig. It was constructed by the WPA during the great depression. The village is made up of 14 log cabins, that are replicas for structures that were located in Spencer County, and played a role in Abraham Lincoln’s life while living in Indiana from 1816-1830. The museum houses many artifacts that relate to Abraham Lincoln and the area here grew up in. Lincoln Pioneer Village & Museum is owned by the City of Rockport, Indiana.
